News for Spring 2015 Semester

We have a number of tournaments this semester, near and far- come check us out if you’re in the area! We’ll also soon be announcing more details on our annual alum tournament, which we plan to hold on the afternoon of Saturday May 2nd, the day before May Day.

Saturday 2/21- BWCFC Spring Meet; George Washington University, Washington, D.C  — Cancelled due to weather conditions!

Saturday 2/28- NIWFA Championships; Lafayette College, Easton, PA

Saturday 4/11- USACFC Championships; Bensalem High School, Bensalem, PA

Saturday 4/19- BWCFC Championships; Drexel University, Philadelphia, PA

 

Our first years (and all our other members) are eagerly awaiting the start of Hell Week on February 18th! For the second year in a row, we will be providing them with a fun, fencing-themed schedule of activities. Tasks from last year include: fencing with spoons, challenging Coach to a duel, and chasing geese using proper footwork.

Also happening this semester is our traditional sports bra sale! The sports bras are black with gold lettering that says “Bryn Mawr Supports Women”, and come in sizes S-XXL. Contact Maggie Alvarez (mralvarez@brynmawr.edu) for more information on purchasing one (or more)!

Help Support Bryn Mawr Fencing!

The fencing team is having our annual fundraiser to help pay for tournament fees & transportation, equipment, and other expenses. We’re selling black sports bras that say “Bryn Mawr Supports Women” in gold lettering, for $20 each. They are comfortable, practical, and support the Bryn Mawr Fencing Club!

The BMC Fencing Club is selling sports bras with “BRYN MAWR SUPPORTS WOMEN” written on them. They are black with gold lettering and cost $20.00 each. They come in small (shirt/dress size 0-4, chest size 31-33”), medium (shirt/dress size 4-8, chest size 34-36”), large (shirt/dress size 8-10, chest size 37-39), and X-large (shirt/dress size 10-12, chest size 39-41”).
